Does the Basic suit my hunting knife?
Yes. It sharpens straight blades, serrated edges and micro-serrations, from the gutting knife to the filleting knife. The sharpening angle runs from 11 to 21 degrees.
How small is it really?
80 grams, 19 mm flat when folded. It fits in a jacket or trouser pocket.
Do I need water, oil or a stone?
No. Three to five pulls with light pressure, and the device sets the angle. Sharpening and honing happen at the same time.
What about hatchets and axes?
In our reel “Even the axe” we sharpen an axe with the VG2 stand unit. For the cabin and the workbench, a VG2 is therefore the right companion to the Basic.
How often do I need to re-sharpen?
Before use, three to five pulls with light pressure are usually enough. Better little and often than rarely and with force.
What if it's not for me?
Then you send it back within 14 days. You pay the return shipping; if it arrives defective, we cover it.
